are vocational training centres
The Foyer Social de Kinshasa was created in 2000 to alleviate the suffering of young girls and girl-mothers. In those early days, the girls in the social centre came from various remedial centres in Petite Flamme and the others were recruited from the Ndolo military camp.
Its objective is to support and promote young girls who, for various reasons, have not had the chance to follow the normal school curriculum. The social centre aims at an integral training: intellectual, civic, moral and religious in order to make the young girl fit and useful to the society in view of an efficient self-care.
This training leads the young girl to fight against dependence and anti-values by enabling her to participate effectively in the development of the society in which she lives.
The Foyer Social Petite Flamme organises occasional training courses in hotel management and beauty and hairdressing.
De façon permanente, il organise une formation en Coupe et Couture pendant trois ans, à la fin de laquelle, les filles sont soumises à un Jury de l’Etat pour l’obtention d’un Brevet en coupe et couture.
Le foyer social assure une formation de qualité qui permet à la jeune fille d’être autonome ou indépendante à la fin de ses études. Elle sort avec une formation intégrale qui lui met à l’abri de la pauvreté, de la dépendance, des anti-valeurs et d’autres vices de la société.
Actuellement, le Projet Social Petite Flamme a deux centres pour la coupe et couture : un à Kinshasa et l’autre à Kikwit.
